Passengers with Reduced Mobility

Blackpool Airport continues to strive towards providing updated and improved facilities for passengers with reduced mobility.

As a customer service oriented organisation, we are committed to ensuring your experience at the airport is as easy as possible. Our services include meet and assist to and from the aircraft, and airport wheelchairs.

Parking

Drivers with reduced mobility may avail of the designated parking spaces in the short stay car park opposite the terminal building. Help is available for passengers who may require assistance from vehicle to terminal. Please press the call button at the entrance barrier and our staff will attend your vehicle. When parking in the designated parking spaces, drivers should ensure that their vehicles display the appropriate sticker on their windscreen to identify them as drivers with special needs.

Terminal Facilities

The airport is on one level and has excellent access.
Disabled toilets are situated in all areas of the terminal building, as are low-level payphones. Induction Loops available
Information Desk staff available for assistance

Please Note:
It is important to advise your travel agent or airline when booking your flight that you require assistance to minimise your waiting time on arrival at the airport. All passengers must pass through a security check before reaching the departure lounge. Such a search may be carried out by hand or by using hand-held detectors. If required, a private search area away from the main area can be provided.

To find out more on the assistance we can offer, please contact Blackpool Airport's Information Desk on 01253 343434 and press option 9.
