Please be advised that you should contact your airline operator for
specific check-in times.

Recommended check in times are:
Jet2.com & Aer Arann flights: 2 hours
Other Scheduled Flights: 1 1/2 hours
Holiday & Charter Flights: 3 hours

Check-in usually closes 40 minutes before scheduled departure time. We strongly recommend all passengers to check-in no later than one and a half hours before the scheduled departure time. If you are planning to travel with excess baggage please allow extra time to complete the process.

There are also public transport links to the airport via bus, coach and rail as well as taxi services.

Check you have your passports, tickets and money with you BEFORE you leave for the airport.

Check that your luggage is not overweight with the airline or operator. You may be charged for excess baggage if you exceed your allowance.

Always allow plenty of time to reach the airport. Don't miss your check-in time as you WILL miss your flight.

Dress comfortably. The more pleasant you can make the journey, the better.

When travelling with children, be sure you have something with you to keep them amused.

Airsickness

  • Eat a light meal a few hours before departure
  • Avoid alcohol
  • Use acupressure bands from your pharmacist
  • Take travel sickness pills before you board
  • A natural alternative is stem ginger

In-flight

  • Avoid alcohol especially if taking medication
  • Eat small portions of food
  • Airsickness can be helped by NOT closing your eyes
  • Focus on a distant fixed object. This will stabilize the part of the brain causing the feeling of nausea
  • If taking travel sickness tablets AVOID alcohol, as the sedative effect of the tablets will be made much worse
